J.Purdey & Sons

Side by Side 12 bore

£15,200

A 12 bore J.Purdey & Sons made in 1932, number 24358 with fine ‘Purdey’ style engraving, still retaining much of its original colour hardening. It comes with a single Purdey motor case in tan leather complete with oil bottle, snap caps, rod and fittings. The case also features an internal compartment cover with a label on the underside detailing the original specification and a list of the craftsmen who made the gun. A nice rare touch, not often seen. Overall this is an exceptional gun from a great era, as can be seen in the photographs and with some interesting history. The last owner had been shooting this alongside this similar gun, using them as a pair and they could be bought together.
